How To Make a Father's Day Coupon Book

For my first post, I thought it would be appropriate to post an activity for Father's Day, since the "Sunshine" in Sunshine + Butterflies is for my husband!  He is such an incredible father, and we wanted to do something really special for him!  At our house, homemade gifts are the most meaningful, so we decided to make a Father's Day coupon book!  My 2 1/2 year old had a blast making this!  Enjoy!

    You will need:
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Markers/Pens/Crayons
  • Ribbon

To make a Father's Day Coupon Book:

  1. Start with a piece of paper.

2.  Fold paper in half.

3.  Fold paper in half again and open up.

4.  Cut on creases to make 4 equal squares.

5.  Have your child place their hand on top of one of the squares.

6.  Trace around hand with a pen or marker.

7.  Repeat until each square has a hand outline.

(If your child is a wiggle worm like mine, you probably won't get a perfect "hand" shape, but that's okay!  Daddy will still appreciate the coupons!!)

8.  Write on each hand "This coupon good for..."

9.  Punch a hole in the corner of each coupon and tie with string!

Hope your Dad's enjoy!!!

I would love to hear about any other father's idea crafts to make!! What fun things will you be making? Link up below!!
